1937 Crosley Model 817 "Super Eight"

One of Crosleys larger table radios, this 8 tube model gives a rich, loud, console-like sound with the relatively compact size of a tabletop. The cabinet is a walnut veneer with decorative real wood inlaid bands, that are complimented nicely by the rich gold dial and bright brass trim. Radio has 3 bands, 1 AM and 2 shortwave, as well as a tone control. Takes longwire antenna. Really pulls in the shortwave with a good sized wire at night! The cabinet has been refinished and the appointments cleaned and polished, making this radio a handsome addition that would easily blend into the decor of a den or a study.
